Queensland Moderators Community Service Medal 2017

Since 1999, the Queensland Synod of The Uniting Church has recognised the wonderful work of volunteers through the Moderator’s Community Service Medal.

 

The Medal is presented to individuals who have contributed in an outstanding way to the Uniting Church’s mission in community services.

 

We are looking for nominations that truly reflect the mission of UnitingCare Queensland: to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, families and communities as we: Reach out to people in need; Speak out for fairness and justice; Care with compassion, innovation and wisdom.

 

Nominees must:

  • be a volunteer for a community service activity of the Uniting Church (past or present)
  • have exhibited outstanding service over a number of years

 

Nominations open on Monday, 3 July and close on Monday, 21 August, 2017. Please click here to access nomination form.

 

Medals will be presented at the 33rd meeting of the Queensland Synod, 20-24 October 2017, at Alexandra Park Conference Centre, Sunshine Coast or at a local ceremony.

 

As the health and community service provider of the Uniting Church, UnitingCare Queensland administers the Moderator’s Community Service Medal.
